We're looking for a proactive Buyer to join a busy and growing manufacturing business, supporting the Senior Buyer in delivering efficient and cost-effective procurement across a range of capital projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with suppliers, managing orders end-to-end, and playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.

Location:

Huddersfield (Office-based)

Salary: £35000 - £40,000 + bonus

The Role

Managing purchase orders from requisition through to delivery
Expediting orders and managing delivery schedules
Negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value and cost savings
Maintaining accurate data within the ERP system
Monitoring supplier performance and supporting KPI reporting
Working closely with production, stores and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow
Supporting stock control and inventory management

About You

Experience in a Buyer or procurement role within a manufacturing environment
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems and stock control processes
Confident using Excel and working with data
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
