The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Fit Out Project Manager to oversee a regional programme of commercial refurbishment works across a portfolio of 27 bank branches.

This is a varied role managing approximately four sites per month, with each project valued at around £40,000. The work will focus on improving back of house areas and staff facilities, including kitchens, canteens, washrooms, flooring, carpets, decorating and general fabric maintenance.

The successful candidate will be a practical all rounder who can manage projects from start to finish, maintain strong client relationships and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial fit out and refurbishment projects across Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Lancashire and the M62 corridor
  • Oversee approximately four branch refurbishments per month
  • Coordinate works including kitchens, canteens, washrooms, carpets, flooring, decorating and general fabric maintenance
  • Manage site activity, contractors, materials and project schedules
  • Ensure each project is completed within budget, timescale and agreed quality standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, site teams and subcontractors
  • Complete project documentation, progress updates and general administration
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep projects on track
  • Maintain strong health and safety standards across all sites
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience managing commercial fit out, refurbishment or facilities improvement projects
  • A strong understanding of general building fabric works and interior refurbishments
  • Experience working in live commercial environments
  • Confident managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong client liaison and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing administration alongside site responsibilities
  • Practical, organised and able to take ownership of projects from start to finish
  • Willingness to travel across the regional branch network
The Ideal Background

This role would suit a Fit Out Project Manager, Refurbishment Project Manager, Facilities Project Manager, Small Works Project Manager or Site Manager with experience delivering commercial refurbishment projects.

Experience working within retail, banking, hospitality, office, leisure or other customer facing environments would be beneficial.
