About the companyAn established commercial fit-out and shopfitting contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can also estimate new projects.
Founded over 20 years ago, the company delivers interiors across the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors, including restaurants, bars and hotels. Work ranges from small projects up to £50,000 through to main contracts worth £3 million.
The Quantity Surveyor will join a business with experienced, directly employed site teams and a strong focus on planning, cost control and site safety.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will combine pricing new work with managing the commercial side of live projects. It would suit someone who enjoys understanding how a job will be delivered as well as what it will cost.
About the roleThe Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Preparing estimates and tender submissions for fit-out and shopfitting projects.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and schedules to establish costs.
- Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Managing project budgets, cost reports and forecasts.
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment.
- Pricing variations and agreeing changes with clients.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
- Working with the delivery teams to keep projects commercially on track.
- Experience in quantity surveying within fit-out, shopfitting or refurbishment.
- Able to estimate work and prepare accurate, competitive tenders.
- Comfortable managing projects from tender through to final account.
- Good understanding of construction costs, materials and subcontract packages.
- Organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with clients, suppliers and site teams.
This Quantity Surveyor position would suit someone with both surveying and estimating experience who wants to work across varied commercial interiors projects.
