Event Photographer Volunteer

Fresh Futures is looking for a Volunteer Event Photographer to help us capture the energy, impact, and human stories behind our events throughout the year. Whether you’re building your portfolio or already established and want to give back, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to use your talent for good.

Fresh Futures is a regional charity working with vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people and their families, within Kirklees and surrounding areas

As a Fresh Futures Event Photographer, you’ll gain:

All whilst having all your travel expenses
reimbursed!

To capture Fresh Futures events through high‑quality, motivating, and engaging photography (and occasional video
) that helps us share our work with the community.

• Attend Fresh Futures events across the year (ad‑hoc schedule provided at onboarding).
• Capture images and videos that reflect our values, marketing guidelines, and consent requirements.
• Use your own camera and editing equipment.
• Share your edited content with the I&E team after each event for use across social media, the website, and promotional materials.
• Location:
  
  Mostly Brian Jackson House, Huddersfield, with occasional travel in surrounding areas

• A passion for photography and digital media.
• Reliability and commitment to attend scheduled events (with notice if unable).
• Willingness to travel to occasional event locations across Kirklees.
• A portfolio or examples of previous work so we can understand your style.
• No driving licence required.

• Induction training and online safeguarding course.
• Clear guidelines on photography, consent, and brand style.
• Regular contact and support from the I&E team.
• Appreciation and recognition of your contribution.
• Guidance if you’re looking to progress into employment or develop your creative career.

Commitment: Ad hoc – attending the majority of Fresh Futures events

Location: Kirklees & surrounding areas

• Carry out your role to the best of your ability and ask for support when needed.
• Share all content captured at events.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Respect all policies and procedures shared during induction.
• Respond to communications in reasonable time.
• Uphold health and safety measures.
• Avoid smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances while volunteering.
