Hours: 22.2 hours per week – flexible working arrangements considered and to be discussed at interview.

Location: Huddersfield and surrounding areas.

Position type: Permanent.

• Build and strengthen relationships with employers across West Yorkshire to secure high‑quality work opportunities that match young people’s vocational interests and aspirations.
• Support the wider NEXUS Team to ensure that work placements are safe, supportive and enriching.
• Provide excellent customer service to employers, schools, young people and their families.

• Connect students in Key Stage 4 with meaningful work experience opportunities, including extended placements up to two days a week.
• Actively engage and influence employers to generate suitable placement roles.
• Maintain accurate records and use IT systems, including databases, to track placements and employer interactions.
• Collaborate with schools and families to support student learning and safety during placements.

• Genuine interest in creating opportunities for young people.
• Proven ability to engage and influence employers.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Drive, resilience and excellent organisational skills.
• Confidence in using IT systems, including databases.

• Dependant on skills, experience and qualifications, successful applicants may be required to participate in further training to support professional development.
• All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
