Careers Adviser – Student Services
Join the University of Huddersfield as a Careers Adviser in Student Services. This role delivers high‑quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to a diverse student population.
Pay and Working Hours- Base pay range: Provided by the University – actual pay will be based on your skills and experience
- Department: Student Services
- Employment type: Part‑time
- Hours: 18.5 hours per week
- Seniority level: Associate
- Deliver one‑to‑one careers guidance and short advice appointments.
- Design and facilitate workshops, clinics, and central events on career‑related themes.
- Create and curate engaging careers resources.
- Use data to inform service delivery and demonstrate impact.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with digital platforms and social media to enhance student engagement.
- Contribute to cross‑service initiatives and professional development through AGCAS.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience involving critical thinking and problem‑solving.
- Experience delivering careers guidance and workshops in educational settings.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
- Confidence using digital tools and social media.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Professional qualification in Careers Guidance (e.g., DipCG, QCG) desirable but not essential.
