This role of an SEN Teacher in and around the Huddersfield ares is ideal for teachers who are stepping away from permanent roles but still want to teach at a high standard without the additional pressures that often come with full-time contracts.

Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff

The Ideal Candidate For

The Role Of An SEN Teacher Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
Proven experience working in a special school or specialist SEN provision
Strong knowledge of EHCPs, personalised learning pathways, and assessment for pupils with complex needs
Confident behaviour management skills, including experience with SEMH and trauma-informed approaches
The ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
Flexibility and professionalism when working across different classes or key stages
A calm, resilient, and solutions-focused approach
A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
