Special Educational Teacher

Overview

Key aspects of your role as a Special Educational Needs Teacher in Huddersfield will include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); proven experience working in a special school or specialist SEN provision; identifying needs, assessing levels of ability and planning sessions which will meet the requirements of the children and develop their learning; effectively delivering the personalised curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interests of the children in the setting are met and supporting other team members to do this;

supporting the children throughout the day in order to develop independence, facilitate participation and learning, and develop physical and communication skills; contributing towards designing and managing a varied and balanced curriculum to meet the needs of every student within the resources available, in accordance with the mission and ethos of the school; to ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for young children with a wide range of disabilities to develop a degree of independence and to improve quality of life.
