Location: Multiple sites (primarily Dewsbury and Huddersfield)

About the Role

At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent and welcome applications from all sectors. As a Community Learning Lecturer you will work across a variety of settings such as community centres, schools and other local venues. Your core responsibilities will involve planning and delivering adult education programmes in subjects that may include IT, English and Maths, ESOL, Employability and any other areas you are qualified to teach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality adult learning courses, adapting content to meet the needs of a diverse cohort.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing timely feedback and assistance.
  • Implement and uphold quality improvement strategies to ensure courses meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain safeguarding responsibilities, promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications & Experience
  • L5 teaching qualification and demonstrable experience teaching adults.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead learners.
  • Innovative course delivery and ability to engage both young people and adults.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
