General Cover Teachers

About the role

We are seeking adaptable and confident General Cover Teachers to support a range of secondary schools across Huddersfield. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy variety, thrive in new environments, and are open to working on a flexible basis. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across multiple subjects within Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Positions are available for an immediate start
, with both part-time and full-time applicants encouraged to apply.

• Deliver engaging and structured lessons across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared materials
• Maintain a strong and confident classroom presence, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Support pupils of varying abilities, adapting your approach where necessary
• Provide clear instructions, guidance, and feedback to help students stay on track
• Build positive relationships with staff and students while representing the agency professionally

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECT, or relevant teaching experience within secondary education
• Strong working knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum expectations
• Confident classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners quickly
• Flexibility to work across different schools and subjects
• Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about supporting young people
