SEND Teaching Assistant - Visual Impairment (VI) Support

Pay: £98 – £110 per day, depending on experience (AWR compliant)
Role- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students with visual impairments
- Assist students within mainstream lessons and specialist provision areas
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence and engagement across the curriculum
- Work closely with teaching staff, SEND professionals and external agencies
- Support students’ social, emotional and academic development
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Understanding of visual impairment and the barriers students may face within education
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Experience with in schools, SEND settings, care, support work or youth work is advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Satisfactory references covering the previous two years
- Competitive rates of pay from £98 to £110 per day (AWR compliant)
