About the role

A thriving secondary school in Huddersfield is seeking a dedicated Female PE Teacher to join their team on a full‑time, long‑term basis from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to deliver an engaging and inclusive PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical fitness, teamwork and personal development. You will be part of a supportive department committed to high standards and a positive sporting culture.

• Plan and deliver high‑quality PE lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
• Teach a broad range of activities across KS3 and KS4, including preparation for GCSE PE where required.
• Promote participation, resilience and healthy lifestyles through engaging practical sessions.
• Maintain excellent behaviour management and ensure a safe learning environment at all times.
• Contribute to extracurricular sport, including clubs, fixtures and whole‑school events.
• Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to inspire confidence, teamwork and a positive attitude towards sport.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom‑management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
