Job Title: Lecturer in Skills for Work and Life
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £26,706.48 - £33,020.27 (FTE £32,938 - £40,725)
Hours and Weeks per Year: 30 hours / 52 weeks per year
Closing Date: 17th July 2026
In the role of MGL you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront, Huddersfield and your focus will be on delivering bespoke and personalised programmes to students with SEND/SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching students with SEND/SEMH.
- Monitoring and assessing students in accordance with the requirements of the programme and contributing to the Quality Improvement Strategy.
- Contributing to curriculum development, design and delivery in response to changing requirements and new demands.
- Maintaining and monitoring college systems.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- PGCE with a specialism in SEND/SEMH and demonstrable experience teaching young people with SEND/SEMH.
- Experience delivering functional skills English and Maths is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with young people with a wide range of learning needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
