About the role
Justteachers is seeking a full-time Specialist SEND Support Assistant to join an established specialist school starting ASAP in the Huddersfield area to cover on a long-term basis
.
This dedicated and inclusive setting provides a highly supportive environment for pupils with complex needs
, focusing on personalised learning
, therapeutic support and holistic development
.
- Support pupils with a range of complex SEND needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist in delivering tailored learning plans and interventions to meet individual EHCP targets
- Promote positive behaviour
, communication
, and emotional regulation through structured support strategies
- Relevant qualifications (e.g.
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND
, ideally within a specialist school setting - Strong knowledge of SEND strategies
, including communication and behaviour support approaches - Two education or school-based references
