About the role

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4,enabling students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop a sound understanding ofbusiness concepts and real-world economic issues. The post-holder will contribute to curriculum development, support student progress, and uphold the school’s commitment to excellence,inclusion and safeguarding.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Business Studies up to GCSE level, delivering engaging and relevant lessons.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality learning aligned with departmental schemes of work.
  • Set ambitious targets and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to departmental tracking.
  • Inspire pupils to develop commercial awareness, critical thinking and enterprise skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as enterprise clubs, competitions or trips.
  • Being aware of and complying with all school policies, including those relating to teaching and learning, and assessment
