Private Healthcare Facility - West Yorkshire
Permanent | 37.5 Hours Per Week
Salary:
Up to £26,500 per annum (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications).
A well-established private healthcare provider is seeking an Engineering Assistant to join its on-site Engineering team at a modern healthcare facility in West Yorkshire. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. The role requires flexibility to support operational demands and occasional assistance across nearby sites within the regional cluster.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support to site-based engineering staff, helping ensure building services, infrastructure, and equipment are maintained to high safety and compliance standards.
- Support Senior Engineering and Engineering Technicians with routine and reactive tasks, and provide supplementary engineering support to other regional sites when required.
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure remedial actions following statutory inspections are completed as instructed.
- Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures, in line with the individual’s competency level, with support from the wider engineering team.
- Ensure PPM completion across the cluster and comply with mandatory training and governance requirements.
- Applicants should hold an engineering qualification or be willing to work towards a recognised specialist engineering discipline.
- A valid CSCS card at the appropriate level is required, and where electrically qualified, a current ECS card must also be held.
- Demonstrate understanding of quality management, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement principles, and a good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and applicable statutory requirements.
- Aware of Legionella prevention and control requirements within healthcare or commercial buildings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, good organisational and time-management abilities, and sound fault-finding and problem-solving techniques.
