Job Title
Stress Engineer / Analyst Engineer
Key Responsibilities- The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs in conjunction with designated KPI's
- The ability to own problems and provide pragmatic engineering solutions to challenging timescales and budgets
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives
- Attend PDR, DDR reviews to provide detailed reports
- Generate detailed technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results and recommendations
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support the development and improvement
- Conduct thorough analysis and investigations of non‑conformance issues, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis
- Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve non‑conformance issues and improve overall product quality
- Maintain accurate documentation of non‑conformance reports, investigations, and corrective actions
- Proficient in stress analysis packages (e.g., ANSYS, MSC Nastran, Altair Hyper Mesh), ideally ANSYS
- Experience in the analysis of complex engineering structures
- Expert knowledge in conventional (hand calculation) techniques for static analysis
- Proficient knowledge of numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis
- Experience in structural analysis of mechanical components, parts, assemblies and sub‑assemblies for heavy industry, power transmission systems, gear and gearbox
- Familiarity with structural analysis practices and methodologies, including significant structural redesigns
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Experience in heavy engineering industry, power transmission systems, gears and gearbox
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
