Job Title

Stress Engineer / Analyst Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs in conjunction with designated KPI's
  • The ability to own problems and provide pragmatic engineering solutions to challenging timescales and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives
  • Attend PDR, DDR reviews to provide detailed reports
  • Generate detailed technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results and recommendations
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support the development and improvement
  • Conduct thorough analysis and investigations of non‑conformance issues, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis
  • Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve non‑conformance issues and improve overall product quality
  • Maintain accurate documentation of non‑conformance reports, investigations, and corrective actions
Required Skills (Technical Competency)
  • Proficient in stress analysis packages (e.g., ANSYS, MSC Nastran, Altair Hyper Mesh), ideally ANSYS
  • Experience in the analysis of complex engineering structures
  • Expert knowledge in conventional (hand calculation) techniques for static analysis
  • Proficient knowledge of numerical (finite element) techniques for static analysis
  • Experience in structural analysis of mechanical components, parts, assemblies and sub‑assemblies for heavy industry, power transmission systems, gear and gearbox
  • Familiarity with structural analysis practices and methodologies, including significant structural redesigns
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Experience in heavy engineering industry, power transmission systems, gears and gearbox
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
