• Deliver planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across all plant areas, ensuring installations and modifications comply with the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and technical support to junior staff and contractors to foster skill development and safe working practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different functions to support smooth, cross‑team operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to maximise plant availability and efficiency.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, health & safety, and environmental compliance.

• Predominantly mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge, ideally from an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer in manufacturing, production, or heavy industrial environments, with knowledge of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics (basic electrical fault‑finding highly beneficial).
• Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Ability to use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) (highly desirable).
• IOSH qualification (desirable but not essential — we’ll support you to gain it if needed).
