Refuse Collector Job Type: Temp contract (minimum 1 month, extension pending performance)

Location:

Vine Street, Huddersfield Rate: £13.26 per hour PAYE

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 7am-5pm Join our team at Kirklees, where we strive to deliver exceptional services to our communities through creative and efficient methods. As a Refuse Collector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and environmental standards of our area by collecting waste from various sectors. Day-to-day of the role:
Collect refuse, recycling, clinical bagged waste, bulky items, and assist with skip collections from designated points or households requiring assisted support. Operate lifting equipment safely and in accordance with risk assessments and operator’s guidance. Ensure compliance with collection procedures and service standards. Report waste concerns such as non-presented or overflowing bins. Use technologies like in-cab systems for recording information. Maintain a positive public image and provide information to the public on refuse collection arrangements.

Undertake additional cleaning duties as required, including snow clearing and gritting. Support waste sort arrangements and the delivery of new bins. Complete administrative tasks such as filling out timesheets and accident books. Required Skills &
