NDT Technician required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with over 20 worldwide locations employing 1000 + staff. This employer is recognised globally for quality and innovative deliverables.
The successful NDT Technician will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct various inspections, including Visual Inspection (VI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Nital Etch inspection (NE) of forgings, machine components, and weldments.
- Analyse inspection results, identify potential flaws, interpret standards, and document findings according to established procedures.
- Raise non‑conformance reports in line with the non‑conformance management procedure.
- Assist in resolving shop floor issues related to machining, welding, heat treatment, or metallurgical causes.
- PCN Level 2 Minimum in Visual, MPI, DPI and UT Forgings
- Experienced in preparing detailed reports outlining inspection findings, defects and interpreting specifications and standards
- Manual handling and training experience
- ISO
9001:2015 Internal Auditor trained
- £37,379 – £44,107.22
- 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Rotating shifts – Morning and afternoon
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Company pension contributions up to 8%
