Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Miller to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-precision components to specification. You will primarily be working on horizontal machining centres using Heidenhain controls.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate CNC machines to carry out precision machining operations

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications

* Select, install, and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding equipment

* Monitor machining processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency

* Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality

* Inspect finished components to ensure conformance to specifications

* Troubleshoot and resolve machining or quality issues

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

* Have solid programming experience

Machinery & Controls

You will predominantly be working on the following machines:

* Scharmann Twin Pallet Horizontal – Heidenhain control

* DEPO 1212 Machining Centre – Heidenhain TNC 530

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer

* Strong experience in CNC milling

* Good understanding of machining principles and mechanical processes

* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

* Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining

* Ability to inspect parts and work accurately to tight tolerances

Desirable:

* Experience using Solid Works or other CAD software for reading and interpreting drawings

* Experience with Mazak machines (turning)

* Monday to Friday
