Sewing Machinist
Location: Huddersfield
Duration: Temporary to permanent
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 3:30pm (30 mins for lunch and 2 x 10mins breaks during the day)
Pay: 13.21, (review in April 2026 and annually thereafter)
Stafflex are looking for a Sewing machinist to join our client, a leading manufacturer of pre-school, nursery, and primary school educational products.
The Job:
As a Sewing Machinist, you will be a crucial part of manufacturing. You will use industrial sewing machines and over lockers to complete the tasks. The products you would be involved in making are (but are not limited to):
- Aprons
- Tabards
- Overalls
- Tablecloths
- Special Needs Soft Play
- Soft Furniture and Cushions
- Play mats
- Vinyl Backdrops
Experience with industrial sewing machines and over lockers is desirable, but full training will be provided. Knowledge of domestic sewing is also advantageous.
