Our client, a large manufacturing business based near Huddersfield, has an immediate requirement to recruit a well‑versed Maintenance Electrician.

Key Responsibilities

Part of a multi‑skilled team, you will be involved in all aspects of electrical work in a high‑quality, fast‑paced manufacturing site working on existing plant and the development of new plant and machinery.

Installation and wiring
Facilities maintenance
Plant and machinery
Panels and control systems
Breakdowns and repairs

Formal Qualifications

A City and Guilds or similar qualification in Electrical Maintenance (Apprenticeship)
City & Guilds 18th Edition
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Personal Skills

Understanding of H&S procedures
Team player
Positive attitude
Creative and able to work under own initiative and also as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure

Work / Relevant Experience

Experience in a similar role
Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Computer literate
Holds a good understanding of general engineering principles
Installation and Wiring Experience
Panels & control Systems Experience
Familiar with PLC controls and programming
Knowledge of PID temperature controls

This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work the following hours:

Week 1 – 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 11:30am Friday

Week 2 – 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 11:30am - 5pm on a Friday

In return you can expect a salary of £38,610 - £44,101.
