The Role As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialist machinery, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate production machinery in line with manufacturing specifications and production schedules.
* Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
* Undertake machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers.
* Monitor machine performance and identify any operational issues.
* Accurately record production data and relevant documentation.
* Support effective shift handovers and communicate production updates.
* Follow all health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production area. About You The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Previous experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
* Ability to follow processes and work to production targets.
* Basic IT skills with experience of recording production data.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement principles would be advantageous.
* A reliable, methodical, and team-focused approach. Shift Pattern This role operates on a rotating 3-week shift pattern:
* Week 1:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm
* Week 2:
Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm
* Week 3:
Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am Benefits
