An established and growing engineering company is looking to recruit a Machine Shop Labourer to support the day-to-day operations of a busy machine shop.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and organisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production activities, ensuring materials and components are moved efficiently, and helping maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised machine shop environment.
 
* Regularly monitor and empty waste bins and arrange disposal as required.
 
* Remove swarf and waste materials from machines when necessary.
 
* Move components and materials efficiently between production processes.
 
* Prepare components for transportation and dispatch.
 
* Ensure products and components are protected from damage during handling and storage.
 
* Load and unload delivery and collection vehicles safely.
 
* Ensure delivery documentation is passed to the relevant departments.
 
* Help maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across external site areas.
 
* Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support production operations.
What We're Looking For

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
 
* Good awareness of health and safety practices.
 
* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
 
* Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or warehouse environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
