Volunteering and Engagement Officer

Coach Falcon's Fit Bodies, an Arts Council funded non‑profit organisation based in Huddersfield and surrounding areas, seeks a dedicated Volunteer and Engagement Officer to lead and develop our volunteer programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead existing volunteer programmes, providing ongoing support to volunteers and collaborating with the museum team to maximise impact.
  • Develop and launch new volunteer roles and programmes in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate the annual work experience programme for secondary education students.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate volunteers, ensuring best‑practice standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records and produce regular reports on activity and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in the volunteer and community sector, with supervisory responsibilities for volunteer programmes.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of best practice for volunteer recruitment, management and retention.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse communities.
  • Previous experience working with arts or museum settings is an advantage.
