The Role

The Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate and commercially viable quotations for clients using pre-defined templates and systems. This office-based role involves managing the end-to-end quoting process, including sourcing costs, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system (Hub Spot). The role requires the ability to develop strong client relationships that support sales growth and operational efficiency, and to work closely with our engineering workforce to ensure accurate quoting.

What We Offer
  • Basic salary of £30,000 per year
  • Performance Bonus of up to £1,400 per year based on achievement of quote turnaround SLA targets
  • 22 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
  • Paid birthday off
  • Early finish Fridays
  • Westfield Health Cashback Scheme, including rewards, discounts, and gym benefits
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare commercial quotes by gathering information from engineers, including part numbers, labour requirements, and equipment specifications.
  • Source materials and costs from approved suppliers and input data into Excel-based calculation templates to determine costs, margins, and selling prices.
  • Create and submit formal quotes via Hub Spot and ensure all supporting documentation is logged for future reference.
  • Manage the quoting process within the CRM system Hub Spot, including logging new quote requests, assigning quote numbers, and tracking their progress through the pipeline.
  • Monitor and update the CRM system, ensuring all quote statuses are accurate and chasing clients for updates when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by following up on quotes, obtaining feedback, and addressing client needs.
  • Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) renewals and remedial works, leveraging these opportunities to drive additional sales and improve client satisfaction.
  • Enhance SLA response times by streamlining quoting and CRM processes.
  • Identify and develop additional growth opportunities, including upselling and cross‑selling to existing clients.
  • Support the team by providing feedback on customer care initiatives and implementing improvement strategies where needed.
Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience in quoting, estimating, or pricing models would be ideal.
  • Familiar with supply chain processes and procurement activities.
  • Knowledge of KPI reporting and working towards targets.
  • Strong numeracy and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working with CRM tools (preferably Hub Spot).
  • Commercial awareness, including the ability to calculate margins and assess profitability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships, follow up on quotes, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively in a fast‑paced, KPI‑driven environment.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to demonstrate our core values of Reliability, Proactivity, Integrity and Innovation.
