The Opportunity
This is an open and close business development role for someone who already understands B2B sales in the IT or telecoms space and wants the next step.
You will focus primarily on net new business, owning opportunities from first conversation through to close. Alongside this, you will work a defined set of existing internal accounts during structured sales sprints. This gives you variety, quicker wins, and exposure to live customers, without losing the new business focus.
You will have support on more complex opportunities, but this is very much a role where you are trusted to run your own deals and deliver results.
This role suits someone stepping up from an SDR role, or an experienced BDR looking for a better commission structure, more ownership, or a new environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prospecting and engaging new B2B customers aligned to our ideal customer profile
- Running discovery conversations around IT, cyber security, and telecoms challenges
- Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle from first contact to close
- Building and maintaining a healthy, well qualified sales pipeline
- Closing deals and earning commission on your results
- Preparing and presenting proposals with support where required
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date
- Continuing to build your commercial and technical knowledge

- A consistent flow of new opportunities and closed business
- Strong conversion from first conversation through to close
- Deals that are well qualified and commercially sound
- Increasing deal size and confidence over time
- Clear earnings growth driven by performance
What We Are Looking For
This role is for someone with existing B2B sales experience in IT, telecoms, MSP, or a closely related technology market.
You are likely to:
- Have experience selling IT services, telecoms, or technology solutions to businesses
- Understand how to run a structured sales conversation and qualify properly
- Be comfortable managing your own pipeline and closing deals
- Be motivated by performance and commission
- Want more ownership than a pure SDR or appointment setting role offers
- Value support and development without being micromanaged
This is not a telemarketing role and is not suitable for someone new to sales.
