North West / Stafford / Chester / Holyhead/ Manchester / Blackpool / Bradford / Lancaster / Whitehaven / Carlisle / Dumfries / Motherwell / Glasgow Fantastic opportunity to join a manufacturer of paints & coatings and be part of a successful industrial sales team. Our long-established client is well known for the manufacture of high-quality innovative paints and coatings . They are seeking a professional with an excellent technical knowledge of the UK industrial paints and coatings market.
Key Tasks The Area Sales Manager will promote and sell industrial coatings, products and services through professional and consultative sales techniques within the North West. Responsible for maintaining and developing the existing customer base and revenue forging long-term business relationships. Sourcing and on-board new business opportunities, working collaboratively with stakeholders to secure and win the business.
Key Responsibilities Conduct face to face meetings with new and existing customer base in accordance with department the key performance indicators. Plan relevant call objective for every customer meeting in line with customer needs, situation appraisal and business priorities. Actively source new business opportunities within the designated territory across a wide platform of sectors and industries for the purpose of selling the products and services.
Conduct product trials with customer from inception through to close working collaboratively with technical team. Maintain accurate company records of customer visits and interactions at all times in line with the company standards. Consistently manage new business pipeline activity and update CRM system accordingly. Produce accurate and timely forecasting as required. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training and development courses.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events within designated territory. Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors. Prepare and present professional proposals for existing and prospective customers. Prepare and present detailed analysis of the performance of your territory and customer base in sales meetings and across the business where needed. Candidate Profile Technical knowledge of industrial paints and coatings.
All customer facing experience considered including technical service and direct sales Professional outlook who is comfortable delivering technical presentations. UK driving licence Must have the right to work in the UK sponsorship is not available You must be based in Southern England and willing to travel frequently in the Southern region. Our client will offer and highly attractive salary, bonus and car allowance or company car.
