HGV Class 1 Drivers Temp

Driver Hire Huddersfield is currently looking for Category C+E - Class 1 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside prestigious clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth and Meltham. These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands.
Most clients are looking for a minimum 1 year's worth of experience on this entitlement.

• Trunking work, curtainsiders, flatbeds and tail lift experience
• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off
• Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.

• Be in possession of a Cat C+E (Class
  1) UK driving licence
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

• Locally sourced/based work
• 8 Hours minimum daily guaranteed
• £15.25 Basic
• £20.30 Overtime
• £17.15 Nights
• Holiday Pay Accrued
• Wages done at source through PAYE
• Auto enrollment into a Pension through NOW Pensions

These roles may also include non-driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle; therefore candidates should be comfortable with doing some lifting and a good demonstration of safe loading. Experience is highly regarded but not wholly essential.
