Responsibilities (and expected duties):
- Advanced 3D modeling skill set, ideally in Solid Works (3‑5 years direct work experience)
- Working knowledge of fiber connector and cable assembly
- Ability to take a concept design and make it reality
- Conduct product testing and create models and prototypes
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles throughout the design process
- Design and develop new products and enhance existing product designs, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and customer‑facing use
- Lead design verification testing and collaborate with the test lab (Resolute Technologies) to ensure thorough product functionality and reliability assessments
- Work with patent attorneys for patents and patent clearances
- Lead projects and develop project plans
- Coordinate with supply chain to develop samples and parts delivery schedule timelines
- Excellent communication skills – interface successfully with other engineers, non‑technical personnel, and customers

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (preferred)
- 3‑5 years of 3D CAD knowledge (Solid Works preferred)
- 6‑10 years of experience in fiber optics or connector design
- Background in plastics a plus
- Ability to travel as required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
