As an Applebee’s® Assistant Manager, you will engage in all aspects of day-to-day operations, leading guests and staff toward an outstanding experience.

• Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and achieves unit objectives.
• Cultivates a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee’s core values.
• Responds promptly to verbal guest complaints and corrects issues.
• Prioritises guest contact and completes required table visits per Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Maintains departmental inventory levels.
• Performs line checks to meet company standards for product preparation and presentation.
• Schedules employees effectively to meet sales demands.
• Maintains safety and security programs.
• Promotes restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Recruits and refers potential team members and management candidates.
• Trains new managers following Flynn Applebee’s procedures.
• Balances employment orientation, training sessions, and performance documentation.
• Orders development of employees through one‑on‑one meetings and written evaluations.
• Provides fair feedback and development support.
• Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary situations.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Controls cost in the assigned department.
• Complies with local, state and federal laws.
• Completes bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories per request.
• Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
• Maintains sanitation standards per Health Department and Flynn standards.
• Provides a role model for managers and employees.
• Develops proficiency in store technology.
• Works in all positions as needed, including line cooking, expo, seating, bartending, etc.
• Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth.

• At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).

Applebee’s® Assistant Managers: $18.18 to $25.71 per hour (approximately $51,994 to $73,530 annually based on a 50‑hour work week). Potential for monthly bonus where applicable.

• Work various shifts, including weekends.
• Stand and move well for up to ten (10) hours.
