ResponsibilitiesA Teacher in the Nashua School District delivers specified course content, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively and professionally with students and parents, expects students to learn, and actively engages students in lessons aligned to grade level expectations that enhance critical thinking skills. The teacher implements instructional strategies that foster a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
The effective teacher inspires and empowers students in their own learning and collaborates with peers to align curriculum and enhance the instructional environment toward gains in student performance. Professional obligations include ongoing reflection on teaching practices, and efficient work habits for planning, meeting deadlines, and honoring schedules.
