Customer Service Rep
Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products represented. They prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner, maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Pay Rate$15–$18 per hour.
Responsibilities- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per company policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet and navigate company systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
The role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business needs or client requirements.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
- Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical demands:
The associate regularly stands and walks during the shift; uses hands and fingers, reaches with hands and arms up to 65 inches, talks and hears, has visual ability to read instructions; stoops, kneels, squats, climbs or steps up a ladder; balances; lifts and carries up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); pushes and pulls a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product;
prepares foods and beverages using required appliances; is in contact with cleaning supplies.
No supervisory responsibilities. Work environment is a retail store environment with limited travel.
