The Business Analyst acts as the integration between the business and the technical system analyst. Works with the business to identify problems that can be resolved with SAP and similar automated systems and recommends the technological approach to take. Participates in solution design, develops prototypes, and prepares estimates for implementing changes.

• Understand opportunities, quoting, sales order entry, shipping and invoicing processes and how SAP can best be used.
• Prepare project estimates for new projects requested by the business.
• Help the business identify areas where functionality can be improved and prioritize requests based on business need and cost.
• Coordinate with functional areas to ensure solutions meet Teledyne requirements across functions and organizations.
• Design and manage small to medium‑size projects, translating user requests into application system solutions.
• Resolve business issues by working with system users, management, consultants, and software support staff.
• Define requirements for specific forms and reports.
• Assist with SME training and end‑user documentation updates.
• Perform project management and detailed analysis of business practices and scenarios.
• Redesign procedures to align with best business practices and SAP functionality.
• Provide support for technical tables and reporting tools to meet urgent and long‑term reporting needs.
• May work on the design of non‑SAP applications or systems.
• Participate in the creation and enforcement of IT software standards and procedures.

• 10+ years SAP SD experience required.
• BA/BS degree required.
• Strong user experience and project experience with SAP and detailed SAP technical configuration knowledge and business process knowledge of the SAP SD module.
• Knowledge of GTS, Customer Service, and ARM is a plus.
• Experience configuring pricing procedures in a multi‑factory, multi‑country environment and mandatory ATP configuration.
• Prior experience in an S/4 environment preferred, including articulation of differences from R/3 to S/4.
• Familiar with working in an integrated SAP environment with a single controlling area across multiple countries and multiple functions.
• Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.
• Production support and project experience.
• Must have solid project management experience, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SAP Best practices.
• Must have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
