Mechanical Assembler (#25-602)

Hudson, New Hampshire, United States

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting‑edge technology to mission‑critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Perform various mechanical operations under a microscope up to 50% of the time
  • Disassemble and re‑assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Install and route cables in small form factor assemblies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Typically requires one year or less of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must have meticulous hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Familiarity with assembly drawings/procedures.
  • Must be comfortable working under a microscope.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electronics assembly and inspection experience
  • IPC‑610 experience
  • Hands‑on experience building PCs
  • Hands‑on experience with torque values and other mechanical rework
  • Experience with cable management

  • Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
