Position Highlights:
Provide both outpatient and surgical ophthalmologic care Perform cataract extractions, eyelid surgeries, laser procedures, and anterior segment surgeries Manage conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and ocular trauma Collaborate closely with optometrists, primary care physicians, and specialists Access to advanced diagnostic tools: OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, slit lamp biomicroscopy Participate in quality initiatives and community health outreach Support from experienced ophthalmic technicians and clinical staff EPIC EMR utilized throughout the system
Compensation & Benefits:

Ideal Candidate: MD or DO with completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for New York medical license and DEA certification Proficient in phacoemulsification and routine anterior segment surgery
Experience with full-scope ophthalmology in a rural or underserved setting preferred Strong communication skills and collaborative, team-oriented approach Interest in mentoring staff or students is a plus About the Community:
