Floor Staff / Part Time / $14 HR / Free Movies! role at Regal
SummaryFloor staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees and ensure that guests receive exceptional service. Floor staff may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher, and act as a representative of Regal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Regular and consistent attendance
- Handling of emergency situations when called upon
- General cleaning duties
- Compliance with the company dress code
- Operate POS system and manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons
- Upsell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Ensure tickets sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy
- Operate POS system and maintain accurate cash drawer, credit card, traveler check, gift card, and coupon handling, as well as concession stock inventory
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession related equipment
- Upselling/suggestive selling
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
- Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods
- Ensure alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
- If the theatre sells alcohol and your duties include selling/serving alcohol, be of legal age to sell/serve alcohol per state or local laws
- Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination
- Process tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary
- Enforce MPAA rating system
- Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment
- Report problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management
- Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
- Assist with all opening and closing duties assigned by management

Education/ExperienceCompletion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required. If the theatre sells alcohol and your duties include selling/serving alcohol, complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate. Also complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Language AbilityPossess good public speaking, listen effectively and respond clearly and directly.
Math AbilityPerform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data and note possible causes. Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, and reach conclusions based on evidence. Take action beyond what is necessarily called for. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
Personal SkillsExcellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers and management. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
