Overview

Diabetes Care Advisor – Concierge/Non-Clinical – Onsite/Hybrid role s position is a hybrid remote role based in Hudson, OH, with schedule 8:15am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. It is a full-time, exempt position with employer-paid vacation and benefits (medical/dental/vision, life, short- and long-term disability insurances, and 401K). Ongoing training and development are provided. There are opportunities to earn a quarterly commission if goals are met.

Edwards Health Care Services (EHCS), a division of GEMCORE, is a national direct-to-home medical supply provider. The Diabetes Care Advisor will serve as the main point of contact for patients and coordinate health care professionals, insurance benefits, insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) orders with physician offices and insurers, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. Communication with customers and patients is via telephone and email;

a customer-focused, detail-oriented, outgoing personality is essential.

• Treat both new and existing customers like a family member.
• Cultivate new leads through prospecting physicians, diabetes educators, hospitals, clinics, manufacturer representatives and community partners.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, physicians and educators through direct communication during insulin pump and CGM order processes.
• Develop relationships with manufacturers, vendors, payers, doctors and patients alongside business development efforts.
• Process daily, weekly and monthly status reports per tracker guidelines for manufacturer and management review.
• Exercise discretion and judgment in obtaining prior authorization, pre-certification, pre-determination and Certificates of Medical Necessity per insurance requirements to determine shipment and billing.

• Excellent telephone and communication skills with ongoing interaction with patients, insurance companies, manufacturer representatives and physician offices.
• Insurance background and/or medical experience; knowledge of deductibles and co-payments a plus.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a consumer service organization or healthcare environment.
• Minimal travel required.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
