Position SummaryThe Vice President of Sales will lead the overall sales strategy and execution for our Building Envelope Supply business. This role is responsible for driving customer conversions, building, leading and developing a high-performance sales organization, achieving ambitious P&L and budget targets with high reward incentives, and developing sales processes, training modules, and organization structure that foster growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of competitive dynamics within the building envelope industry and a proven track record of senior sales leadership, talent development, and customer relationship management.
Expectationsof the Role
- Drive Customer Conversions
:
Lead all aspects of the sales process, including overall strategy, competitive intelligence, customer relationship management, sales tactics, pricing strategy, transition planning, and overcoming objections. - Create a Highly Effective Sales Organization
:
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; implement individualized development plans; set clear expectations; conduct market visits; monitor performance and growth; remove and replace underperformers; create robust hiring and development processes. - Achieve P&L and Budget Targets
:
Develop and manage annual sales budgets by team and region; identify new customer growth opportunities; manage sales-related budgets (travel, events, customer initiatives); provide monthly budget updates to executive leadership with insights on opportunities, challenges, and impact. - Lead Sales Goals and Results
:
Set quarterly SMART goals for the team; drive achievement of personal and team goals; develop sales tactics; provide coaching and mentorship; monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- CRM Lead
:
Establish and monitor CRM usage; track implementation and provide recommendations for enhancements; integrate additional sales tools; analyze CRM data for trends and opportunities. - Pricing & SPR Lead
:
Set pricing expectations; lead team training; review, approve, or edit pricing requests; oversee updates and track pricing impacts. - Sales Process Development
:
Design and continuously improve sales processes for various product lines (sheathing, underlayment, wrap); train the sales team and measure effectiveness to drive increased win rates. - Sales Onboarding & Training
:
Develop and implement onboarding and ongoing training; lead annual sales meetings; conduct monthly and quarterly sales and product training. - Key Customer Relationships
:
Build and maintain relationships with top customer executives across all segments; lead strategic meetings; maintain market awareness and deliver value-added partnership strategies. - Reporting & Updates
:
Lead monthly sales update calls with the leadership team; present quarterly updates on SMART goals, objectives, and results to the board.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Experience building, leading, and maintaining high-performing sales teams to industry-leading standards.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to understand P&L, manage data, and work effectively with Excel.
- Well-established, respected relationships within the building envelope or related construction industry.
- A record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
