Overview
We’re searching for a versatile and reliable Construction Maintenance Technician to assist with a variety of tasks, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. This role is ideal for a capable individual who can manage small home projects—from basic electrical and plumbing tasks to light carpentry and installation work—within Element Design Build Remodel. Element Design Build Remodel is a boutique firm specializing in high-end home remodeling in Northeast Ohio, offering comprehensive services from design to construction under one roof.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems.
- Handle basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
- Complete light carpentry work, including repairing or installing shelving, trim, and small wooden structures.
- Assist with counter top installation, including preparation, moving materials, and setting the counter top in place.
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are used properly.
- Install new light fixtures and outlets.
- Install cabinets and perform trim work.
- Assist with counter top installation.
- Other general maintenance and repairs, and performing other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or trades-related role.
- General knowledge of light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry techniques.
- Experience with or willingness to learn counter top installation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
