Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk tracks and traces all Leaf Home shipments, ensures internal partners are promptly notified of impending shipments, schedules freight pickups, prepares shipping documents, and maintains internal information as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track and trace all Leaf Home shipments
• Build shipments in internal systems and select the best mode/carrier
• Issue freight arrival notices to internal and external locations through reports and software
• Issue parcel arrival notices to internal locations through reports
• Prepare and proof shipping documents as required
• Inform management of ongoing performance issues
• Assist the Transportation Supervisor, Warehouse Specialists, and other team members when needed
• Send transportation vendors weekly shipping schedules
• Communicate with transportation vendors as needed
• Manage location addresses and accessorial needs throughout software/excel as needed
• Update consignee information in software as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience and

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Well‑developed organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks & deadlines simultaneously
• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability
• Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention between tasks to meet stakeholder demands without “dropping the ball.”
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy, team‑oriented environment with a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
• Accountable, self‑driven in accomplishing goals
• Detail‑oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient pathway to completion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately
• Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors, solve complex problems, and reflect
• Provides timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications

• 1+ years of Transportation experience
• Certification or equivalent in Transportation or Logistics management

• No travel required

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements

• May be requested to work overtime on evenings and weekends dependent on business need

Physical Requirements

• Normal office environment
• Performs indoor work in a climate‑controlled environment
• Sedentary work; exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; sits most of the time
