Role at Hudson Hospital & Clinic
Responsibilities- Interview patients and document basic medical history.
- Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart.
- Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients.
- Administer immunizations.
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls.
- Enter orders for laboratory services.
- Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (AAMA or AMT) or current LPN (WI License required).
- Clear and helpful communication skills, teamwork and positive interpersonal relationships.
- One year medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinic preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients/families/clinic staff members.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions.
- Understanding of patient education needs and ability to effectively share information with patients, family members and clinic staff.
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Experience with EPIC preferred.
