We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, with a focus on shipping, receiving, inventory management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient order fulfillment, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and lead a team to meet productivity and accuracy goals in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate warehouse staff activities, including training new hires, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes: packing orders, preparing shipping documents, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
- Learn and be a redundant/backup resource for shipping and receiving processes.
- Inventory control: conduct cycle counts, track stock levels, and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and promote a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, customer service) to meet shipping deadlines and resolve issues.
- Lead team meetings, provide feedback, and drive process improvements for efficiency.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling tools as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks like preparing reports on shipments, inventory, and team productivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with MRP software, inventory control and shipping platforms.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Good communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items (up to 50+ lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
