Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
- Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised designs.
- Resolve design-related issues encountered during manufacturing and product lifecycle.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of material properties and selection for industrial applications.
- Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Hands‑on prototyping, testing, or fabrication experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
