Location:

Grand Rapids, MI.

• Set up the service area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines and following dietary restrictions based on patients' needs.
• Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure patients receive the highest quality of service.
• Assist the supervisor with food service using specific procedures, following guidelines and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and stock patient units.
• Remain knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• 1 year food service preferred
• Fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
• Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the community
• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their special needs
• Must be able to follow directions and follow through on assignments
• Ability to work with others as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Serv Safe is desirable

• High school diploma or GED

• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Wage: $16.00 – $18.00
