Job Title: Manager In Training

Hourly Wage: $9.00 - $11.70
Reports To: Store Manager
SummaryThe Manager in Training assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in overall store operations and administrative duties. This role requires deep product knowledge across all departments, participation in establishing action plans, and the ability to assume full supervisory control in the absence of the Store Manager. The Manager in Training promotes a unique customer experience, maintains high standards of customer service, and upholds all company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett.
- Consult with leadership to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
- Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
- Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments.
- Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities and standards are completed.
- Inform the Store Manager of inventory movements and customer trends.
- Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
- Deliver extraordinary customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual.
- Promote and sell Hibbett sprzężty and merchandise.
- Uphold Hibbett City Gear policies, procedure, and standards as listed in all relevant manuals.
- Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring effective internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.
- Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work while resolving problems.
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
- 1‑3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to assist in managing a team while maintaining overall goals and profits.
- Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without prompting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision.
- Team‑player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
