Convey freight to and from trailers and storage areas by hand or with the assistance of forklifts and hand trucks.

• Must have command of English with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Perform simple mathematical calculations and handle receipts.
• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements on and off trucks by hand or with a hand truck, dolly, or forklift.
• Lift various types of materials: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc.
• Use common material handling tools: forklifts, carts, dollies, banding machines, shrink wrap tubes, pallet jacks, and tow motors.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, carry, bend, reach, and lift both above and below waist level.
• Work in a safe and professional manner to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees.
• Comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job.
• Perform other duties as directed or requested.

• Minimum age of 18.
• High School completion or equivalent.
• Pass a non‑DOT physical examination and functional screen.
• Consent to a pre‑employment drug screen;
  Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result.
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Lift 50 lbs. frequently and 100+ lbs. infrequently.
• Consent to a ten‑year background check.
• At‑will employment with Dohrn Transfer.

• Lifting various materials: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc.
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, load locks, and two‑wheel handcarts.
• Capacity to lift 80 lbs. unassisted and sit/stand for prolonged periods.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and dusty conditions in the dock environment.
