Breakfast Cook

Overview

We are seeking a Breakfast Cook to join our team. Located steps from the Nantasket Beach, we’re a family-owned restaurant and open year-round. Now expanding into breakfast, we’ve been known for our award-winning tacos, burritos and friendly customer service. In this job, you will be working in a fun and fast-paced environment, and helping us maintain our brand for high quality food, with fresh ingredients.

• Prepare and cook food orders. Ensure high food quality and consistency following established recipes and standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
• Perform and oversee all kitchen processes, including opening and closing tasks such as set-up, food prep, end-of-the-day cleanup and side-work.
• Manage food inventory, ensure supplies are adequate and rotated properly.
• Safely operate all kitchen equipment, and perform ongoing cleaning.
• Maintain a positive and professional conduct in all interactions with others.

• One or more years of work experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
• Weekend and holiday availability
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize; excellent time management and a sense of urgency
• Strong teamwork and communication skills and a positive can-do attitude

• Pay rate is competitive, and depends on experience ($18-28 per hour – Experienced candidates, who are seeking the higher end of this range, need to make their case, and be ready to provide references. Serious inquiries only).

This is a full-time position. We will also consider part-time applications.
