• Oversee and manage the operation of a vessel as the Captain
• Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo during all aspects of the voyage
• Navigate the vessel using charts, radar, and other navigational aids
• Communicate with other vessels, port authorities, and crew members to coordinate activities
• Supervise and direct crew members in their duties and responsibilities
• Maintain and enforce compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards
• Conduct regular inspections of the vessel to ensure proper maintenance and functionality
• Respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the voyage

• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of crew members
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address any issues with the vessel s systems or equipment
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with crew members, passengers, and authorities
• Proficient navigation skills using charts, radar, and other navigational aids
• Ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations while maintaining composure
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards
• Physical stamina to endure long hours at sea and perform physically demanding tasks
